In achieving the above promise, entrepreneurship is part of the key learning of our co-curricular student development. We commit to arouse student’s capacity in innovative and entrepreneurial spirit by promoting the exchange of innovative ideas and entrepreneurial experiences. We provide platform and resources for students to actualize the goal, by various mentoring schemes, entrepreneurship working groups, meet up with entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial study tour, student conference, entrepreneur internship, and more. We established the student Entrepreneurship Society and provide guidance and coaching to their operations.

The newly established Global Student Network of Entrepreneurship(GSNE), is for actualizing our core vision in shaping entrepreneurship development with a global perspective. The GSNE provides a global platform and opportunities so that students from different parts of the globe can connect together in striving for entrepreneurship learning and exposure. A Student International Board of the GSNE has been formulated with the aim to manage the network to organize global programmes and events, such as Global Student Conference and Global Entrepreneurial Study Tour, and to facilitate collaboration of global student projects of entrepreneurship. It is PolyU’s commitment to provide guidance and operational support to the GSNE.

Prof. CHEN Dongmin

BIOGRAPHY
Prof. Chen is the Dean of School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Director of Science and Technology Development Office of Peking University, and a tenured full professor in the Faculty of Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies.
Prof. Chen was an adjunct Professor of the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences where he served as the co-director of the Beijing National Laboratory for Condensed Matter Physics from 2004 to 2009. He was a Sr. Rowland Fellow and the Head of the Nanoscale Quantum Physics Lab. at Harvard University from 1989 to 2004. His academic expertise includes nanotechnologies and advanced semiconductor process integrations, nonvolatile material and device physics, MEMS device and process, MEMS-CMOS integration; spin and quantum device physics. BIOGRAPHY
Prof. Wong is concurrently a Professor at the School of Business, as well as Director for NUS Entrepreneurship Centre. He has published in numerous international refereed journals on innovation policy, industrial and competitiveness policy and technology entrepreneurship, and has also consulted widely for international agencies such as the World Bank and Asian Development Bank, various government agencies in Singapore such as A*STAR, EDB and IDA, and many high tech firms in Asia.

An entrepreneur who co-founded three companies prior to joining academia, he has been an active angel investor in more than a dozen tech start-ups in Silicon Valley, Singapore, China and India. He was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at U.C. Berkeley, a visiting scholar at Stanford University, a senior visiting scholar at Oxford University, and a Pacific Leadership Fellow at UCSD. He received a Public Administration Medal (Silver) from the Singapore Government in 2013, and the “Entrepreneur for the World” Award (Educator Category) from the World Entrepreneurship Forum in 2015...
